Who work in our practice?

Our practice consists of 6 general practitioners (GP’s), 6 practice nurses (POH’s) and 6 doctors assistants. You will be assigned one of the GP’s; should you wish to make an appointment during his/her absence, an appointment will be offered with a colleague.

Our practice nurses (POH’s) perform delegated tasks for the GP. They have their own appointment possibilities, they do house calls and inform and instruct with specific medical conditions. Their areas of expertise are cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, smoking cessation, heart failure, elderly care, respiratory conditions (i.e. COPD) and mental health complaints (anxiety, depression, stress, mourning etc).

Our doctors assistants also have their own appointment possibilities. They perform a multitude of tasks: ear cleaning, treatment of warts, measurement of blood pressure, test of hearing, injections, checking of wounds and the removal of stitches.

We are a place of learning, so we train GP’s and doctors assistants.

Opening hours & appointments

Our practice is open on Monday to Friday, from 08:00 until 17:00. In emergency situations, our practice can be reached the whole day on 071-5319300, option 1.

For appointments, you can call from 08:00 until 16:00 (excluding 2 breaks, from 10:45 until 11:00 and from 12:30 until 13:00) on 071-5319300, option 2, then option 1

Would you like to have a house call made by the GP, or an appointment by phone, we urge you to call before 11:00.

The assistant will always ask what the nature of the complaint is, in order to plan the best time for the appointment with the best caregiver at that moment.

Signing up as a new patient

We are open for new patients who live in the are with postal code 2331.

If you wish to sign up as a new patient, please fill out this form. The GP’s of this practice would like to get to know new patients. The doctors assistent will make an appointment with you when the practice has received your medical data. Then the GP will have the opportunity to ask questions about that if there are any questions.

Of course you can also make an appointment before you sign up as a new patient in orde to meet your possible new GP. You can call the practice to make an appointment for that.

Prescription medication

Medication can be ordered through a specific phone number: 071-5766253 (Pharmacy Stevenshof) or 071-5319300, option 4. You can collect your prescribed medication the next day after 14:00. At pharmacy Stevenshof, they also offer digital possibilities to order your medication. They can explain more at the pharmacy.

Test results

You can call for test results (X-rays, ultrasounds, lab tests) between 13:00 and 16:00. If the GP has evaluated the results, the assistant will let you know. Sometimes you will be informed later.

Urine testing

The assistants can do urinary testing when a bladder infection is suspected. If you bring a urine sample before 10:00, and fill out a questionnaire, you can have the results the same day. For the results to be reliable, deliver the fresh urine (not older than 2 hours at room temperature) in a clean cup.

PAP smears

The assistants can perform PAP smears for the population test. All women in the Netherlands receive an invitation for a PAP smear every five years, starting at the age of 30. You can call for the result 2 weeks after the test.

Administration

We ask you let us know when there are changes in family, address, phone number and/or insurance company. If you are a new patient in our practice, we ask you to inform your previous GP, and to ask to send your medical file to our practice.

Digital contact

All patient older than 16 years can open a file on MijnGezondheid.net. This is a secured website where you can look into your own medical file, search for test results and order e-consultations with your GP or practice nurse.

Exchanging medical data

In the Netherlands, it’s possible for care workers to digitally request for medical information. For instance, when you are at the GP ward (outside office hours, 0900-5138039), they can digitally request medical information at our practice. This is only possible if you’ve given permission to do so.
